Phlebotomus chabaudi (M)

Phlebotomus chabaudi Croset, Abonnenc & Rioux, 1970
Subgenus: Paraphlebotomus Theodor, 1948

Males of P. chabaudi and P. riouxi are distinguished from the other Paraphlebotomus males by their characteristic aedegus (parameral sheath) with pointed tip. The male of P. chabaudi differs from that of P. riouxi by the smaller size of its basal lobe of the gonocoxite and the smaller number of hairs it has.
